Lì ha preso in mano, come erede di Kayneth El-Melloi Archibald, la gestione dell’istituto di magia moderna, ma è anche, temporaneamente, il capo del nucleo famigliare di El Melloi, fino a quando la sua sorella adottiva Reine – la vera erede – non avrà raggiunto la maggiore età. Mentre si vede sempre più alla mercé delle angherie e gelosie, a causa della sua posizione sociale vacillante, come anche per la scelta della sua specializzazione, dei suoi colleghi, per i suoi studenti è un insegante e un ricercatore molto amato e rispettato.
