あらすじ

Two years have passed since the war between Earth and Gatlantis, and after its end, Abelt Dessler reappeared on the scene to find a way with the new democratic government to escape their dying homeworld of Garmillas. The solution seems to be the planet Galman as it has suitable living conditions for them, so it is decided to successively migrate the entire population and submit to the regime there.

Meanwhile, peace reigns on Earth: Susumu Kodai is now commander of the Yamato, which, in turn, has become the flagship of the 65th Escort Fleet. Yuki Mori and Shirou Sanada have become commanders, too. Besides a months-long training mission, there have also been several diplomatic meetings with the government of Garmillas, but a catastrophic incident seems to bring a sudden end to the peaceful times: as the first inhabitants are flown to Galman, the planet suddenly comes under attack by the mysterious alien species Dezarium; the planet Iscandar is also drastically affected in this attack. The Yamato and its escort ships soon plunge into the events, but can they do anything in this situation?
