English language: For starters I will say that I will have to name a couple of spoilers because for some this anime could be disturbing. Chirin no Suzu (Ringing Bell) is the anime that shocked me the most. Mostly because I never expected to see everything that happened. Takashi Yanase wrote the book on which this anime is based. One of the reasons he became a children’s writer and illustrator is how he could deal with his PTSD because he survived World War II. Although it doesn't seem like anti-war anime to anyone at first, when you metaphorically look at anime, you realize it has to do with it. The plot revolves around a newborn lamb Chirin who lives a peaceful life on a meadow with his mother. This will soon come to an end when they are attacked by a wolf named Woe who kills Chirin's mother. Broken by his mother's death, Chirin swears that he himself will become a wolf to avenge his mother, unaware of how much this transformation will cost him. This story certainly reminds you a lot of Bambie, which reminded me at first. But the thing is, this isn't Bambie. This is "Bambie gone bad"! I thought that Chirin would become a wolf with the help of some magic, and take revenge on the wolf who killed his mother. This is what I expected the most because this anime movie was done by Sanrio. For those of you who don’t know what Sanrio is, it’s a company that has created famous characters like Hello Kitty, My Melody, Kuromi, Cinnamoroll, Little Twin Stars, Pompompurin and many others. So I definitely didn’t expect such an anime from Sanrio. Let me get back to the story. Chirin will do anything to become like a wolf. Because in order to take revenge on him, he needs to become like him. I thought this was going to be an anime about his physical becoming like a wolf, but it’s actually about his mental becoming. His mind will change so much, that he will even be willing to kill someone of his kind if necessary. This anime is definitely scary because it has some disturbing scenes. In my opinion, the worst was one scene when Chirin saw one animal attack another animal which was then killed. And as Chirin came to defend the other animals from that other one, he accidentally kills them himself. It’s a very dark anime where Chirin’s psyche changes over time as he begins to wonder what the meaning of life is if you can easily be killed. He decided to change his destiny by becoming like a wolf.
I gave this anime 10/10 for several reasons. This is an overpowering anime that really managed to portray the story in a dark but real way. You feel it emotionally because rarely can an anime portray and evoke emotions as well as this one. It is completely dedicated to character development. The last thing that made the anime great for me was because it was instructive. This anime clearly shows that you are what you choose to be. Because your choices affect you and how you develop. Chirin will be so focused on revenge that not only will he lose everything and everyone, but he will lose himself the most.
This is a movie that lasts 46 minutes. He has managed to show so much in such a short time. It kept my attention from beginning to end and I couldn’t possibly predict the things that happened. I understand that this anime is not for everyone, but whoever dares to watch it, I hope they will like it.

Najviše zato što nisam nikako očekivala da ću vidjeti sve ono što se dogodilo. Takashi Yanase je napisao knjigu po kojoj se temelji ovaj anime. Jedan od razloga zašto je postao dječji pisac i ilustrator je kako bi se mogao nositi sa svojim PTSP-om jer je preživio Drugi svjetski rat. Iako nikome na prvu ne izgleda kao antiratni anime, kada metaforički sagledaš anime, shvatiš da ima veze s tim. Radnja se vrti oko novorođenog janjeta Chirina koji živi mirnim životom na livadi sa svojom majkom. Tome će ubrzo doći kraj kad ih napadne vuk po imenu Woe koji ubija Chirinovu majku. Slomljen majčinom smrću, Chirin se zaklinje da će i sam postati vuk kako bi se osvetio majci, nesvjestan koliko će ga koštati ova preobrazba. Ova priča vas sigurno dosta podsjeća na Bambie, što je i mene na prvu podsjetilo. Ali stvar je u tome što ovo nije Bambie. Ovo je "Bambie gone bad"! Mislila sam da će Chirin s pomoću neke magije postati vuk, i osvetiti se vuku koji je ubio njegovu majku. To sam najviše očekivala jer je ovaj anime film radio Sanrio. Za vas koji ne znate što je Sanrio, to je kompanija koja je stvorila poznate likove kao što su Hello Kitty, My Melody, Kuromi, Cinnamoroll, Little Twin Stars, Pompompurin i mnogi drugi. Tako da definitivno nisam očekivala takav anime od Sanria. Da se vratim na priču. Chirin će uraditi sve kako bi postao kao vuk. Jer da bi mu se osvetio, on treba postati poput njega. Mislila sam da će to biti anime o njegovom fizičkom postajanju kao vuk, ali je zapravo o psihičkom. Njegov će se um toliko izmijeniti, da će biti spreman čak i da ubije nekog od svoje vrste ako je to potrebno. Ovaj anime je definitivno zastrašujuć jer ima neke uznemirujuće scene. Po meni je najgora bila jedna scena kada je Chirin vidio da jedna životinja napada drugu životinju koja tada bude ubijena. I kako je Chirin došao da obrani ostale životinje od te druge, slučajno ih on sam ubija. Jako je mračan anime gdje se Chirinu psiha s vremenom mijenja kada se počeo pitati koji je smisao života ako te lako mogu ubiti. On je odlučio promijeniti svoju sudbinu tako što će postati kao vuk.
Ovome animeu sam dala 10/10 zbog više razloga. Premoćan je anime koji je stvarno uspio prikazati priču na mračan ali stvaran način. Emocionalno ga osjetiš jer rijetko koji anime može tako dobro prikazati i izazvati emocije kao ovaj. U potpunosti je posvećen razvoju lika. Zadnje zbog čega mi je bio odličan je zato što je poučan. Ovaj anime jasno prikazuje da si ono što odabereš da budeš. Jer vaši izbori utječu na vas i kako se razvijate. Chirin će toliko biti fokusiran na osvetu da ne samo da će izgubiti sve i ostale, već će najviše izgubiti sebe.
Ovo je film koji traje 46 minuta. Toliko je toga uspio prikazati u tako malo vremena. Meni je držao pažnju od početka do kraja i nisam nikako mogla predvidjeti stvari koje su se dogodile. Razumijem da ovaj anime nije za svakoga, ali tko god se usudi da ga pogleda, nadam se da će mu se svidjeti.

“Mushrooms are life. They’re the very will to live itself.”— What sounds like a love confession to mushrooms takes on a different meaning in “Sabikui Bisco”.

Set in world where Tokio got annihilated by a disaster, the Mushroom Keeper, Bisco Akaboshi, has made it his mission to plant mushrooms because that is how he can rid the world of rust. Although this is well-intentioned and he wants to save the people, they think he is an evil criminal—the “Man-Eating Mushroom”. By chance, he meets the doctor Milo Nekoyanagi, who later on becomes his partner. Together, they embark on a journey to save Bisco’s master Jabi and Milo’s sister Pawoo.

The first and biggest bonus point gets “Sabikui Bisco” for its worldbuilding, which is probably the best in a long time. It gives of a very exotic vibe and feels refreshingly new—or does anyone know an anime with flying snail-aircrafts, hippo-cannons and a crab as a “vehicle”? No? Me neither. On top of that, the “villains” are pink bunnies … but they still give off a malicious feeling! With all the mushrooms and stuff it kinda reminds me of “Dorohedoro”. It just gives off a similar vibe—maybe art-wise too?

Speaking of the bad guys, the main villain of the story, governor Kurokawa, is well-written. One can see that immediately because so many people hate him—I’m one of them btw. (The hatred reminds me a little of Floch from “Attack on Titan”, because Floch is also the “hate character” of his show.) Though, as I mentioned once before, that’s just how you know that an author has done his job well. Because it’s only when you really hate a character that it means he’s written “properly”. Tsuda Kenjirou, the voice actor of Kurokawa, fits the character perfectly, too!

Not only the antagonist, but also the main characters are top-notch. Bisco is a (hot) mushroom keeper—and probably the husbando of the season, maybe a little bit behind Gojo. Despite his hot-blooded character, which is very reminiscent of characters like Bakugou or Kurokiba, he manages to be super cool. (Funny, because instead of Bakugou he looks more like Kisihima.) You can also see immediately how good Milo and Bisco are for each other: they give each other strength, encourage each other if needed and are, all in all, an “unbeatable duo”. Milo experiences the greatest character development, if we want to call it that, of the show—Is it love’s fault? All jokes aside, Milo changes from being this whiny little panda-babyboy to an almost as cool hero as Bisco is.

Maybe I’m a little biased—SHE KISSED BISCO!—, but the only character I found a little “weak-written” was Pawoo, the sister of Milo. She just could have been so much more! She literally spent the first half of the show just fixing her bike. Sure, she can fight and all, but that’s really all there is to it. She could have used a little more depth. But … at least she has an E-cup, right? Luckily, she also had her (brief) moment when she knocked off the mask of the giant mecha-thingy.

That brings us to the next topic: the Tetsujin. (= the mecha-thingy) That would also be the second similarity to “Attack on Titan”. This titanic roboter, who roars rather annoyingly, as I have to say. The first thing I thought to myself was: This thing reminds me of the Colossal Titan. I think this is funny, because the Titan and the Tetsujin have another thing in common: they both get called God of Death/Destruction.

Plotwise, I also have to say that a lot was “foreseeable”. For example, that Bisco was not dead, of course. I mean, he has plot armor! Though, the way he did come back was ... wow. (Literally wow, like ... he was half-naked *heart eyes*) Also, the end is … very much Shounen-like. Just as one would imagine. However, a happy end for everyone is not bad at all!

I can’t say much about the animation. It’s fits the post-apocalyptic world vibe perfectly. Also, the soundtrack is pretty good and both, the opening and ending, are one my favorites of the season. (I’m too lazy to “analyze” that more than that right now, sorry!)

All in all, I’d like to recommend “Sabikui Bisco” to … everyone who likes mushrooms! Just kidding. Anyone who is a fan of “eccentric” stuff with good world building will certainly have a lot of fun with Bisco. Filled with fun and humor in between, Bisco also manages to be serious at the right moments. I’ll gladly give Bisco this season’s silver medal—of course, right after Marin and Gojo, who make an slightly more unbeatable team than Milo and Bisco. Have fun!

English language: This is one of the best anime I’ve watched. Personally, I didn’t expect anything special when I read the summary. Since it had 6 episodes I decided to watch it because I have another anime more that I watched. The story is initially about Alice Sakaguchi who, due to a misunderstanding, accidentally finds out that her classmates Jinpachi and Issei constantly have common dreams that are recurring dreams about a group of lunar-based scientists observing the Earth. When Alice has one of the "moon dreams", she will try to find other scientists together with Jinpachi and Issei because they are all reincarnations of those scientists who died of a mysterious disease on the moon. While that idea of theirs sounds great, things will get a little complicated. Namely, a character who is also one of the reincarnated scientists will hide his identity and negatively influence some events in his favor. That character is also a villain and he will manage to fool everyone. Supernatural powers will help him realize his plans. The powers of this character are so strong that even some people who have the same powers cannot defeat him so easily. Towards the end, we will find out the story of his past life, which is so tragic. Another problem that will be created is that the characters can’t cope with what happened in their past. They will begin to mix their present and past lives. There will be jealousy and revenge. Let’s just say it’s their personal struggle. All in all, this anime is about the characters and how they will interact after the events that led to their deaths come to light. The story is very intense and includes very tragic and touching events. This anime also has very interesting characters. What I liked most about this anime was that it was so interesting that I watched it without a break. I would recommend it to anyone to watch it.

Hrvatski jezik: Ovo je jedan od najboljih animea koje sam pogledala. Osobno nisam ništa posebno očekivala kad sam pročitala sažetak. Pošto je imao 6 epizoda odlučila sam ga pogledat jer imat ću još jedan anime više koji sam pogledala.Priča se u početku radi o Alice Sakaguchi koja će zbog jednog nesporazuma slučajno saznati da njene kolege iz razreda Jinpachi i Issei stalno imaju zajedničke snove koji su ponavljajući snovi o skupini znanstvenika na mjesečevoj bazi koji promatraju Zemlju. Kada Alice bude imala jedan od “mjesečevih snova”, zajedno će sa Jinpachijem i Isseijem pokušati naći ostale znanstvenike jer su oni svi reinkarnacije od tih znanstvenika koji su umrli od misteriozne bolesti na Mjesecu. Iako ta njihova ideja zvuči super, stvari će se malo zakomplicirati. Naime, jedan lik koji je isto jedan od znanstvenika koji je reinkarniran, će skrivati svoj identitet i negativno utjecati na neke događaje u svoju korist. Taj lik je i negativac i sve će uspjeti zavarati. Nadnaravne moći će mu pomoći za ostvarenje svojih planova. Moći od toga lika su toliko snažne da čak i neki ljudi koji imaju iste moći ne mogu ga tako lako poraziti. Pred kraj ćemo saznati i priču o njegovom prošlom životu koja je tako tragična.Još jedan od problema koji će se stvoriti je da se likovi ne mogu nositi s onim što se dogodilo u njihovoj prošlosti. Počet će miješati svoje sadašnje i prošle živote. Doći će do ljubomore i osvete. Recimo samo da je to njihova osobna borba.Sve u svemu ovaj anime je o likovima i kako će oni međusobno djelovati nakon što događaji koji su doveli do njihove smrti izađu na vidjelo. Priča je vrlo intenzivna i uključuje vrlo tragične i dirljive događaje. Ovaj anime isto ima jako zanimljive likove. Kod ovoga animea mi se najviše svidjelo što je bio toliko zanimljiv da sam ga pogledala bez pauze. Preporučila bih ga svakom da ga pogleda.

Why you should watch Chocolat no Mahou (The Magic of Chocolate) anime? / Zašto pogledati Chocolat no Mahou (The Magic of Chocolate) anime?

English language: At first I thought it was a children’s anime, but when I saw it was a horror genre I changed my mind. A very interesting anime in which we get a new story and characters every episode. The main character is Chocolat Aikawa who owns a shop where she is selling chocolates. These are not any chocolates, but magical ones that can fulfill wishes but only if the person gives something precious in exchange. Things are not so simple and many do not even understand what they can lose and how it will affect them. Everyone who comes has some problems they want to solve. In addition to watching someone new every episode, the episodes also reveal something about the main character Chocolat and how it actually happened that she runs that magic chocolate shop. The truth is much darker than one would expect. All in all, I really liked the anime. Dramatic, instructive, interesting and mysterious anime with short stories. There are 13 episodes, each lasting about 14 minutes, so whoever wants to watch I think they will find it interesting.

Hrvatski jezik: Na prvu sam mislila da je dječji anime, ali kad sam vidjela da je horor žanr promijenila sam mišljenje. Veoma zanimljiv anime u kojem svaku epizodu dobijemo novu priču i likove. Glavni lik je Chocolat Aikawa koja posjeduje trgovinu u kojoj prodaje čokolade. To nisu bilo kakve čokolade, već magične koje mogu ispuniti želje ali samo ako osoba u zamjenu dadne nešto dragocjeno. Stvari baš i nisu tako jednostavne i mnogi ni ne shvaćaju što time mogu izgubiti i kako će to utjecati na njih. Svi koji dođu imaju neke probleme koje žele riješiti. Osim što se svaku epizodu gleda nekog novog, kroz epizode se sazna ponešto i o glavnom liku Chocolat i kako je zapravo došlo do toga da ona vodi tu trgovinu sa magičnim čokoladama. Istina je puno mračnija nego što bi netko očekivao. Sve u svemu mi se anime jako svidio. Dramatičan, poučan, prezanimljiv i tajanstven anime sa kratkim pričama. Ima 13 epizoda od kojih svaka traje otprilike 14 minuta pa tko god želi pogledat mislim da će mu biti zanimljiv.

“Blossom” is a very special film. Not just because it is a short film, but because the story of how it was made is based on a tragic event that any of us old enough for it can still remember well: the Touhoku earthquake almost exactly ten years ago. I still remember that at work I followed the development of this catastrophe in the live ticker. In commemoration of this tragedy, studio Ordet Co., Ltd created this short film … as inconspicuous as a flower that could sprout out of the ground after it became fertile again.

The film is about a farmer who puts all his energy into rebuilding the country. Sweet angels flit past around him and the other villagers, watching and accompanying them. Everyone in the village seems to have their own personal guardian angel if you look at a few scenes a little closer. Of course, this also applies to the farmer. With this nameless angel the main character couple has found each other. The film itself is told from the angel’s perspective. Her thoughts revolve around the farmer, but also around God and the world. She sometimes utters predictable phrases (e.g. to ask God – if he even exists – to help those in need); In between, however, her thoughts also move into somewhat more abstract realms that cannot be clearly interpreted immediately.

A somewhat more unusual style has been chosen for the drawings – to match this unusual short film. Both the sadness and the hope of the villagers and the general serenity of the angels are conveyed through images that are reminiscent of slimmed-down pastel paintings.

But it is the music that makes this already very extraordinary work into something even more extraordinary. This short film can be viewed in two ways:

• as an ordinary anime with all the frills
• as a music video with all the frills

Two very common ways of viewing animated art, but very unusual in this embodiment.

In the music video version, “Hoppípolla” is played by the Icelandic post-rock band Sigur Rós. I wasn’t aware of that at first when I watched this short film. What a positive surprise it was when I heard the first notes of this song – after all, Sigur Rós is one of my favorite bands. And yet I have neglected this band in the last few years. What a shame. But what should you do when the day only has 24 hours? As is often the case with favorite bands, the band you are listening to is the best band in the world. And that’s exactly what Sigur Rós was in the six minutes that this short film lasted.

Conclusion:
Sigur Rós may not be the best band in the world 24/7, but as soon as you hear Jónsi’s angelic voice, Goggi’s glockenspiel or the Amiina string quartet, you can’t escape the magic, and at least for the time when the sometimes melancholic, sometimes euphoric, but always highly emotional songs are being played, Sigur Rós is the best band in the world.

Oh, wait, this was about “Blossom”. The anime is definitely worth a look because – and this argument is used again and again in such short works – you can certainly invest the few minutes. The emotional effect of this film was without a doubt greater after the Touhoku earthquake, but because the connection to this event is relatively loose, you can watch it at any time and simply see it as a story between an angel and a farmer which – like the songs of Sigur Rós – alternates between melancholy and euphoria.

From watching the first Episodes this show some promise to be an interesting "Quiz" anime. Sadly the main female protagonist Seiyuu seems to be a complete newbie and a miss. IMHO it absolutely does not fit the character and take a big toll on the overall enjoyment.

Shiki - nice, rounded character with fitting voice actor. best character of this series. that says a lot..
Mari - bad voice actor and quite underdeveloped character. feels flat and forced into the plot and setting, as well as overall unpolished. IMHO shes dropping at least a full star for this series.
gakuto - seems slightly underdeveloped. here is some missed potential as well. 
daisuke - same as gakuto. tries to fit into a role but too over-the-top ruins the potential.
chisato - some more potential but still, in the first 3 EPs it did not hit the sweet spot.

Story:
None - at least the first 3 EP dont show much potential for a story, so its just a normal "developing" ark.

Design:
Not bad but nothing special.

Soundtrack:
Not bad but nothing special either.

Overall a meh anime that could be better with more feeling/thought/life/work put into the characters next to shiki.

Death Note is a well known anime throughout the community and everyone interested in anime will have to think about watching it at some point.

The story begins in a Japanese high school where the highly intelligent (and thereby succesful) student Light Yagami finds a notebook, which a Shinigami (Japanese god of dead) dropped there intentionally out of boredom. The owner of the notebook named "Death Note" does have the ability to kill people by writing their name into it while imagining their faces.There is a certain ruleset which determines the patterns by which the notebook can be used. Those rules are revealed eventually throughout the series and shall not be introduced here any further.

The Shinigami named Ryuk soon realizes, that having Yagami finding the notebook, turns out to be a promising cirumstance according to the entertainment he is looking for, because great plans are taking shape in Light Yagamis mind:

Yagamis view of justice is based upon the believe that there are crimes, which make those who commit them, lose their right to live. Therefore he begins killing criminals of the highest category using the death note. However, as the suspicious incidents of dying imprisoned criminals rise above normal, people begin to scrutinize, about someone being responsible for the deaths. One of them is "L".
"L" is a mysterious detective of whom nothing more is known, than that he is a genius solving complicated cases already in the past.

Not even little less intelligent than Light, a great story of chess-like trap-laying, -avoiding and bait taking unfolds around the two given individuals. Their colliding understandings of justice split society into half and even if the manga-author denies any philosophical intention of the story I personally cannot think of a story that illustrates the conflict of two contradictionary views on a subject like (in this case) justice and ethics better than "Death Note". At least in the first half of the series. Later the conflict and the "chess-game-like" character of the rivalry does fade out a little, but the first half of the series makes up for the weaknesses of the latter half.

To round this outline I'd like to mention a view technical details on this anime. The soundtrack places itself somewhere between rock and metal and is not the worst I ever heard in anime. A big portion of gothic-loli serves for the fan-service-faction of otakus and the quality of the drawings is upper standard nowadays.

To conclude the review I want to say that "Death Note" is a duty for everyone who enjoys a twisted intensive story, a philosophical discussion or chess. Since this anime is often considered silimar to Code:Geass I want to add,  that indeed there are paraleles, as there is also a great manipulating main character, doing morally questionable things, to make the world better. For this aspect Code:Geass does have the upper hand. But in storytelling and -twisting and unfolding traps, Death Note sets the bar very high and is still uncontested.
