Island (2018)

“Island” is set on Urashima – an island far from the mainland. The people living there led a carefree life until the island’s three major families suffered a series of misfortunes five years ago and have harboured distrust towards each other ever since. The island’s population has since cut off all contact with the mainland, leading to a slow but steady decline.

The key to saving the island lies with three girls, each belonging to one of the three large families. These, however, are bound by the old traditions … Suddenly, a lone man washes ashore, claiming to be from the future, and henceforth begins to wage a lonely battle against fate to save the island.

»Island« spielt auf Urashima – einer Insel, die weit vom Festland entfernt liegt. Die dort lebenden Menschen führten ein sorgloses Leben, bis die drei großen Familien der Insel vor fünf Jahren eine Reihe von Unglücken durchmachen mussten und seitdem Misstrauen gegenüber einander hegen. Die Bevölkerung der Insel hat seitdem jeglichen Kontakt mit dem Festland abgebrochen, was zu einem langsamen aber stetigen Niedergang führte.

Der Schlüssel zur Rettung der Insel liegt bei drei Mädchen, die jeweils einer der drei großen Familien angehören. Diese jedoch sind an die alten Traditionen gebunden … Plötzlich spült ein einsamer Mann an Land, welcher behauptet, aus der Zukunft zu sein und fortan beginnt, einen einsamen Kampf gegen das Schicksal zu führen, um die Insel zu retten.

Island se déroule sur Urashima, une île éloignée du continent. Les habitants menaient une vie insouciante jusqu’à ce que les trois grandes familles de l’île subissent une série de malheurs il y a cinq ans, et se méfient les unes des autres depuis lors. Depuis, la population de l’île a coupé tout contact avec le continent, ce qui a entraîné un déclin lent mais constant.
La clé pour sauver l’île repose sur trois filles, chacune appartenant à l’une des trois grandes familles. Ceux-ci, cependant, sont liés par les anciennes traditions… Soudain, un homme solitaire s’échoue sur le rivage, prétendant venir du futur, et commence désormais à mener à une bataille solitaire contre le destin pour sauver l’île.

Island è ambientato su Urashima, un’isola lontana dalla terra ferma. Le persone che vivono lì hanno vissuto una vita tranquilla, fino a quando le tre famiglie più grandi dell’isola subirono, cinque anni prima del presente della serie, una serie d’incidenti. Da allora si è instaurata una forte diffidenza tra di loro e la popolazione dell’isola ha interrotto ogni qualsiasi contatto con la terra ferma, cosa che ha portato ad un lento ma inesorabile degrado.
La chiave per la salvezza dell’isola si trova in mano a tre ragazze che appartengono ciascuno ad una altra delle tre famiglie più grandi. Queste però sono legati a vecchie tradizioni … Tutt’ad un tratto viene trascinato a riva un uomo, che afferma provenire dal futuro e inizia una lotta solitaria per salvare l’isola dal suo destino.
