One Piece: Heart of Gold (2016)

One of the most valuable things that can be found on the Grand Line is certainly the so-called Pure Gold: a golden mass in the shape of a small egg that can stop any ageing process and thus also prevent any illness – it is even said that you can buy the whole world with it. So it’s no wonder that both pirates and the navy are burning for little Olga Myskina because she is supposedly the only person who knows where to find this special treasure.

On the run from her pursuers, she finally meets the Straw Hat Gang and is able to convince them – somewhat headstrong – to take her to the island of Alchemi – her home, which she thought was lost. But it’s not to be that easy, as a pirate gang led by Mad Treasure is on the lookout for the gold itself and quickly catches up with the Thousand Sunny. Of course, Luffy and his friends don’t want to just give Olga away, but the fight for her quickly takes a back seat when a gigantic fish appears. According to Olga, its name is Bonbori, and it has not only devoured the gold but also her entire home island – a fate that now also befalls everyone present.

Zu den wertvollste Dingen, die man auf der Grand Line finden kann, gehört sicherlich das sogenannte Pure Gold: eine goldene Masse in der Form eines kleinen Eis, die jeden Alterungsprozess aufhalten und damit auch jede Krankheit verhindern kann – es heißt sogar, man könne damit die ganze Welt kaufen. Kein Wunder also, dass sowohl Piraten als auch die Marine brennend an der kleinen Olga Myskina interessiert sind, denn angeblich ist sie die einzige Person, die weiß, wo man dieses besondere Kleinod finden kann.

Auf der Flucht vor ihren Verfolgern begegnet sie schließlich der Strohhutbande und kann diese – etwas eigenwillig – überzeugen, sie zur verloren geglaubten Insel Alchemi zu bringen – ihrem Zuhause. Aber so leicht soll es nicht werden, denn eine Piratenbande, angeführt von Mad Treasure, ist selbst auf der Suche nach dem Gold und holt die Thousand Sunny schnell ein. Natürlich wollen Luffy und seine Freunde Olga nicht einfach hergeben, doch der Kampf um sie rückt schnell in den Hintergrund, als ein gigantischer Fisch auftaucht. Bonbori heißt er laut Olga und hat nicht nur das Gold, sondern auch gleich noch ihre gesamte Heimatinsel verschlungen – ein Schicksal, das alle Anwesenden jetzt ebenfalls ereilt.
