Yi Lin is a model living in Guangzhou with her sister Lulu. Because she is no longer as youthful as she once was, she begins to worry more and more about whether she is not slowly getting too old for her job. Her sister, Lulu, on the other hand, is still a university student and cannot quite understand Yi Lin’s worries …

“Flavors of Youth: A Little Fashion Show” is part of the “Flavors of Youth” anthology, which consists of three short stories. Each is set in a different Chinese city and deals with various themes such as food, clothing, and refuge.

Il film «Flavors of Youth» è un’antologia, composta da tre storie brevi che trattano in tre città cinesi diverse e hanno come argomenti cibo, vestiti e rifugi. Lla prima storia «Hidamari no Choushoku» (ingl. «Sunny Breakfast») tratta di un giovane che lavora in Pechino e di sua nonna che vive nel suo villaggio natale. La seconda storia, «Chiisana Fashion Show» (ingl. «A Small Fashion Show»), mostra la quotidianità di due sorelle che vivono in Guangzhou. «Shanghai Koi»(ingl. «Shanghai Love»), la terza storia, è ambientata nella Shanghai degli anni 90 ed è un omaggio al film «Byousoku 5 Centimeter».
