Kyokou Suiri (2020)

In “Koyoku Suiri,” youkai live among us, hidden from the outside world. Most of them are good-hearted, but there are those who are dangerous and threaten to tip the balance between the youkai and humanity. As a young girl, Kotoko Iwanaga was kidnapped by the youkai and, in exchange for a leg and an eye, became their God of Wisdom, a kind of mediator. Since then, she has been able to see youkai and to communicate with them and is therefore approached by them with any apparent problems. Kotoko always thought she was alone with this ability of hers, until one day, she meets the recently single student Kurou Sakuragawa in the hospital. Kotoko develops feelings for Kurou, but also notices that he has supernatural powers. She therefore asks Kurou for help as a youkai mediator.

In »In/Spectre« leben Youkai versteckt vor der Außenwelt unter uns. Die meisten von ihnen sind gutmütig, doch es gibt auch solche, die gefährlich sind und die Balance zwischen den Youkai und der Menschheit ins Ungleichgewicht zu bringen drohen. Als junges Mädchen wurde Kotoko Iwanaga von Youkai entführt und im Austausch für den Verlust eines Beins und eines Auges zu deren »Göttin der Weisheit«, eine Art Vermittlerin, ernannt. Seitdem ist sie in der Lage, Youkai zu sehen und mit ihnen zu kommunizieren und wird daher von ihnen bei etwaigen Problemen zurate gezogen. Mit ihrer Fähigkeit hat sich Kotoko stets als Einzelfall gesehen, bis sie eines Tages in einem Krankenhaus dem seit kurzem getrennt lebenden Studenten Kurou Sakuragawa über den Weg läuft. Kotoko entwickelt prompt Gefühle für Kurou, spürt jedoch auch, dass eine übernatürliche Gabe in ihm schlummert. Sie bittet Kurou daher um Hilfe bei ihrer Aufgabe als Youkai-Vermittlerin.

En el mundo de «In/Spectre», los youkai viven entre nosotros, escondidos del mundo exterior. La mayoría de ellos tienen buenas intenciones, pero también hay algunos que son peligrosos y amenazan con destruir el balance que reina entre los youkai y la humanidad. Cuando era pequeña, Kotoko Iwanaga fue secuestrada por los youkai y, a cambio de una pierna y un ojo, fue nombrada God of Wisdom, un tipo de mediadora. Desde entonces, tiene la capacidad de ver a los youkai y comunicarse con ellos, por lo que estos la consultan con distintos problemas. Kotoko siempre había visto su habilidad como algo único, hasta que un día en un hospital se encuentra a Kurou Sakuragawa, un estudiante nuevamente soltero. Kotoko pronto empieza a desarrollar sentimientos por él, pero percibe que tiene un don sobrenatural latente, por lo que le pide ayuda con su trabajo como mediadora de youkai.

Dans « In/Spectre », les youkai vivent parmi nous, cachés du monde extérieur. La plupart d’entre eux sont de bonne nature, mais il y a aussi ceux qui sont dangereux et menacent de déséquilibrer les youkai et l’humanité. Jeune fille, Kotoko Iwanaga a été enlevée par des youkai et nommée leur Déesse de la Sagesse, une sorte d’intermédiaire. En échange, elle a dû y laisser une jambe et un œil. Depuis lors, elle est capable de voir et de communiquer avec les youkai, et est donc consultée par eux pour tout problème qu’ils peuvent avoir. En raison de sa capacité, Kotoko s’est toujours considérée comme un cas unique, jusqu’au jour où elle rencontre par hasard Kurou Sakuragawa dans un hôpital, un étudiant habitant seul depuis peu. Kotoko se découvre rapidement des sentiments pour Kurou, mais sent également qu’un don surnaturel se cache en lui. Elle demande donc à Kurou de l’aider dans sa tâche de médiateur youkai.

In «In/Spectre» Youkai vivono nascosti tra di noi e dagli occhi umani. La maggior parte di loro sono mansueti, ma vi sono anche alcuni che sono pericolosi e rischiano di sbilanciare l’equilibro tra gli Youkai e l’umanità. Da ragazzina Kotoko Iwanaga è stata rapita dagli Youkai e per compensarla la perdita di una gamba e un occhio è stata eletta God of Wisdom, una specie di ambasciatrice. Da allora riesce a vedere gli Youkai e a comunicare con loro, e viene, di conseguenza, spesso interpellata per trovare soluzioni per i loro problemi. Con la sua abilità, Kotoko si vede come un caso unico. Fino a che un giorno incontra in un ospedale, lo studente da poco separato, Kurou Sakuragawa. Kotoko comincia a provare dei sentimenti per Kurou, nello stesso tempo sente che nel ragazzo si nascondono doti sovrannaturali. Così chiede Kurou di aiutarla con la mediazione con gli Youkai.
