Dragon’s Dogma (2020)

“Dragon’s Dogma” is based on the role-playing game of the same name from 2012 and takes the viewer into the world of Cassardis. While Ethan, an expectant father, and the orphan boy Louis are hunting, they both get surrounded by wolves. But even before they can attack, a silhouette darkens the sky. It belongs to a dragon that promptly causes Ethan’s home village to go up in flames. He takes the life of Louis and Olivia, Ethan’s pregnant wife, and then tears the heart out of Ethan’s chest.

To his astonishment, Ethan wakes up the next morning – with a huge scar on his chest. He was saved by a woman who simply introduces herself as “Pawn” and informs him of his resurrection. Immediately afterwards, the dragon makes telepathic contact and lures Ethan in with the promise to return his heart should he come to his camp. Driven by thoughts of revenge, Ethan makes his way to the dragon’s camp together with the mysterious woman to whom he gives the name Hannah.

Als sich Ethan, ein werdender Vater, und der Waisenknabe Louis auf die Jagd begeben, werden beide von Wölfen umzingelt. Doch noch bevor diese zum Angriff übergehen, verdunkelt eine Silhouette den Himmel. Diese gehört zu einem Drachen, der prompt das Heimatdorf Ethans in Flammen aufgehen lässt. Dabei nimmt er Louis und Olivia, Ethans schwangerer Frau, das Leben und reißt anschließend Ethan das Herz aus der Brust.

Zu seiner Verwunderung erwacht Ethan am nächsten Morgen – mit einer gewaltigen Narbe auf der Brust. Gerettet wurde er durch eine Frau, die sich selbst einfach als »Pawn« vorstellt und ihn über seine Wiederauferstehung aufklärt. Unmittelbar danach nimmt der Drache telepathisch Kontakt auf und lockt Ethan mit dem Versprechen, ihm sein Herz zurückzugeben, sollte er in sein Lager kommen. Getrieben von Rachegedanken macht sich Ethan zusammen mit der mysteriösen Frau, der er den Namen Hannah gibt, auf den Weg zu ihm.

Lorsque Ethan, un futur père, et Louis, un orphelin, partent à la chasse, ils sont tous deux entourés de loups. Mais avant qu’ils puissent attaquer, une silhouette obscurcit le ciel. Cette silhouette appartient à un dragon, qui provoque l’embrasement du village natal de Ethan. Il prend en même temps la vie de Louis et d’Olivia, la femme enceinte de Ethan, puis arrache le cœur de Ethan de sa poitrine.

À sa grande surprise, Ethan se réveille le lendemain matin, avec une énorme cicatrice sur la poitrine. Il a été sauvé par une femme qui se présente simplement comme « Pawn » et l’informe de sa résurrection. Le dragon établit un contact télépathique peu de temps après et attire Ethan en lui promettant de lui rendre son cœur s’il rejoint son camp. Poussé par des pensées de vengeance, Ethan se lance à sa recherche, en compagnie de la mystérieuse femme qu’il nomme Hannah.

Quando Ethan, un padre in attesa, e l’orfano Louis, vanno a caccia, vengono accerchiati da dei lupi. Ma prima che questi partono all’attacco, il cielo viene oscurato da una sagoma. La sagoma appartiene ad un drago che prontamente mette a fuoco e fiamme il paese di Ethan. Il drago uccide Louis e Olivia, la moglie incinta di Ethan, e strappa il cuore dal petto di Ethan.

Per suo stupore Ethan si risveglia la mattina dopo con un’enorme cicatrice sul petto. È stato salvato da una donna che gli si presenta come «Pawn» e che lo informa della sua resurrezione. Subito dopo il drago si mette in contatto con lui telepaticamente e cerca di attirare Ethan, con la promessa di ridargli il suo cuore si reca al suo accampamento. Spinto da pensieri di vendetta Ethan si mette, insieme alla misteriosa donna che chiama Hannah, in marcia verso l’accampamento del drago.
