Ancient Book of Ys I (1989)

Our hero, Adol Christine, compelled by an unknown urge, travels to the distant land of Estellia – a land overrun by monsters. There he learns that his coming was already predestined by legend and that he will end the plague of the land. Which, unsurprisingly, he does! Together with his comrades-in-arms, he sets out in search of the “Six Books of Ys”, which hold the answers to the mystery and the key to all the problems shaking the land. On their journey, they fight their way through small and large hordes of monsters … Will they succeed and find all six books?

Unser Held, Adol Christine, gezwungen von einem unbekannten Drang, reist in das weit entfernte Land Estellia – ein Land, das von Monstern überrannt wurde. Dort erfährt er, dass sein Kommen bereits von einer Legende vorherbestimmt war und dass er die Plage des Landes beenden wird. Was er auch wenig überraschend schafft! Zusammen mit seinen Mitstreitern macht er sich auf die Suche nach den »sechs Büchern von Ys«, in denen die Antworten auf das Mysterium und der Schlüssel zu allen Problemen stehen, die das Land erschüttern. Auf dem Weg dorthin kämpfen sie sich durch kleine und große Monsterscharen … Werden sie es schaffen und alle sechs Bücher finden?
