Gintama: The Final (2021)

The final battle has begun – and this time for real! The remnants of the Tendoushuu are returning to drain the last of the Altana resources out of the earth – the very energy that has enabled said organisation to conquer countless planets in the past and to bring technological progress to countless worlds. The place of the decision will be the O-Edo terminal, which is right above the point where a particularly large amount of Altana leaks.

After the ship of the Tendoushuu crashed into the terminal, Gintoki und Kotarou Katsura rush there together with their enemy Shinsuke Takasugi. However, their opponents, the Tendoushuu army, is already under the influence of Utsoru. Time is also against the three because vast amounts of Altana energy have already been drained. For Gintoki, this last battle is a particularly emotional one because he now has to face the one who was once his former master …

Nun ist sie endlich da: die letzte Schlacht nicht nur um Edo, sondern um die ganze Welt – und diesmal wirklich! Überreste der Tendoushuu kehren zurück, um nun aus der Erde auch die letzten Altana-Vorkommen herauszusaugen – also ebenjene Energie, weswegen besagte Organisation in der Vergangenheit schon zahllose Planeten eroberte und durch die zahllose Welten technologischen Fortschritt erfahren haben. Ort der Entscheidung ist das O-Edo-Terminal, das genau über dem Punkt errichtet wurde, an dem besonders viel Altana austritt.

Nachdem das Tendoushuu-Schiff ins Terminal gestürzt ist, stürmen Gintoki und Kotarou Katsura gemeinsam mit ihrem Feind Shinsuke Takasugi dorthin, doch ihre Gegner, die Tendoushuu-Armee, stehen bereits unter Utsorus Einfluss – und auch Zeit ist ein entscheidender Faktor, denn Unmengen der Altana-Energie werden bereits aus dem Planeten gezogen. Für Gintoki ist dieser letzte Kampf ein besonders emotionaler – er muss sich nun dem stellen, was aus seinem ehemaligen Lehrmeister geworden ist …
