Boku no Hero Academia the Movie: World Heroes‘ Mission (2021)

Despite his Quirk One for All, Izuku Midoriya has not forgotten what it’s like to live without it. In “My Hero Academia: World Heroes’ Mission” he and his companions have to deal with anti-quirk-terrorists who plunge a whole city into chaos after placing bombs in various places. These not only explode, but also release a gas that causes all those affected by it to lose control over their powers. However, many more of these bombs have been hidden worldwide, so both the established professional heroes and the soon-to-be ones have to work together to prevent a disaster.

Endeavor’s team, including Izuku, Shouto and Katsuki, travels to Europe, to the country of Otheon. But instead of helping with the bomb search, Izuku is having a completely different problem: when the bank robbery of the small-time criminal Rodi goes completely wrong, Izuku is declared an accomplice as well. Now the two are on the run together, with not only the police but also the terrorists at their heels. As the latter announce a time limit of only two hours, the world starts to panic – after all, this could be the end of the hero society!

Izuku Midoriya hat trotz seiner Macke One for All nicht vergessen, wie sich ein Leben ohne angefühlt hat. In »My Hero Academia: World Heroes’ Mission« bekommen er und seine Weggefährten es jedoch mit Anti-Macken-Terroristen zu tun, die gleich eine ganze Stadt ins Chaos gestürzt haben, nachdem sie an etlichen Stellen Bomben deponiert hatten. Diese explodieren nicht einfach nur, sie lassen auch ein Gas entweichen, das alle Betroffenen die Kontrolle über ihre Heldenkräfte verlieren lässt. Von diesen Bomben wurden weltweit aber noch weitaus mehr versteckt, sodass sowohl die etablierten Profihelden als auch die angehenden zusammenarbeiten müssen, um ein Desaster abzuwenden.

Endeavors Team, darunter auch Izuku, Shouto und Katsuki, verschlägt es nach Europa, in das Land Oseon. Doch anstatt bei der Bombensuche helfen zu können, hat Izuki jetzt ein ganz anderes Problem: Als ein Banküberfall durch den Kleinkriminellen Rody völlig in die Hose geht, wird auch Izuku zum Mittäter erklärt. Nun sind die beiden gemeinsam auf der Flucht, an ihren Fersen kleben nicht nur die Polizei, sondern auch die Terroristen. Als Letztere dann ein Zeitlimit von lediglich zwei Stunden verkünden, bricht weltweit Panik aus – schließlich könnte es das Ende der bislang bekannten Heldengesellschaft bedeuten!
