Topco Co. Ltd. is a South Korean media company that operates the webtoon portal Toptoons.
The company was originally founded on January 24, 2014, under the name TopComics Co., Ltd. It was renamed to its current name at the end of 2016.
The company launched its webtoon portal Toptoons in South Korea in March 2014. By June of the same year, the company already had over one million readers.
The company acquired Digital Multimedia Technology Co and transformed it into a subsidiary, which was later renamed Topco Media.
In February 2017, the company entered into a partnership with Media Do to publish Japanese manga in South Korea via its Toptoon service.
In March 2022, the company launched the Toptoon Plus portal in the USA to be able to offer its content, which was previously only available in Korean, and in English as well. The American subsidiary Topco International was founded for this purpose.
In April 2022, the company announced it would merge with its subsidiary Topco Media and the Korean company Metacraft.
