Asta and Yuno were once abandoned together at a church. From childhood onwards, the two were inseparable, but a rivalry also developed. One of them should become the next magic king – that’s what they swore to each other, so their goal was clear. While Yuno turned out to be a genius in the magical arts, Asta was incapable of using magic and trained his body to compensate. When Yuno receives a mysterious grimoire with a four-leaf clover instead of the usual three-leaf clover, and shortly after falls into great danger, Asta’s true power suddenly reveals: he obtains the “Black Clover” grimoire of anti-magic. Asta und Yuno wurden einst gemeinsam bei einer Kirche ausgesetzt. Von Kindertagen an waren die beiden unzertrennlich, doch es entstand auch eine Rivalität. Einer von ihnen soll der nächste Zauberkönig werden – das schworen sie sich und so war ihr Ziel klar. Während sich Yuno als Genie in den magischen Künsten entpuppte, war Asta unfähig, Magie zu benutzen und trainierte als Ausgleich seinen Körper. Als Yuno ein mysteriöses Grimoire erhält, auf dem statt dem üblichen dreiblättrigen Kleeblatt ein vierblättriges abgebildet ist, und kurz darauf in große Gefahr gerät, offenbart sich auf einmal Astas wahre Kraft: Er erlangt das »Black Clover«-Grimoire der Antimagie. Dans un monde régi par la magie, Yuno et Asta ont grandi ensemble avec un seul but en tête: devenir le prochain Empereur-Mage du royaume de Clover. Mais si le premier est naturellement doué, le deuxième, quant à lui, ne sait pas manipuler la magie. C’est ainsi que lors de la cérémonie d’attribution de leur grimoire, Yuno reçoit le légendaire grimoire au trèfle à quatre feuilles tandis qu’Asta, lui, repart bredouille. Or plus tard, un ancien et mystérieux ouvrage noir décoré d’un trèfle à cinq feuilles surgit devant lui! Un grimoire d’anti-magie …
