Gakuto Mikumo is a Japanese author of manga and light novels.

He studied the English language at Sophia University. In 1998, he won 2nd place in the fifth Dengeki Novel Prize with his debut work “Called Gehenna”. He also received the Japan SF Rookie of the Year Award in 1999 with the work “M.G.H.: Rakuen no Kyouzou” and a special Sneaker Award in 2000 with his work “Earth Reverse”.

He became particularly well known for the series “Asura Cryin’”. He also wrote “Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops” for the PSP.

Er studierte die englische Sprache an der Sophia University. 1998 gewann er den 2. Platz des fünften Dengeki Novel Prize mit seinem Debütwerk „Called Gehenna“. Weiterhin erhielt er im Jahr 1999 den Japan SF Rookie of the Year Award mit dem Werk „M.G.H.: Rakuen no Kyouzou“ und eine Sonderauszeichnung des Sneaker Awards im Jahre 2000 mit seiner Arbeit „Earth Reverse“.

Besonders bekannt wurde er durch die Reihe „Asura Cryin’“. Zudem schrieb er auch an „Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops“ für die PSP.
